The whole care from the lovely technical staff, nurses and doctor was really caring and I was not made to feel that I was wasting the doctor's time.

I feel very safe with Dr Tsang-Wright from the moment of diagnosis and being on my own to planning my imminent surgery. I experience her as warm hearted and kind, gentle, honest too if I’m over worrying about things, thorough, understanding and she looks out for my husband in all this too. My last question to her in my recent consultation when we planned my surgery was ‘ will you be in charge on the day?’ (meaning in theatre) and she said “Yes” I asked that because of the feeling safe and trusting in her hands. I feel like I’m handing myself over to her. She also brings a lovely feel of equality to the meetings we’ve had, for example the shopping list that fell out of my bag as I rummaged for something! and she told me her shopping was being delivered, the jacket I wore on the day was white and my husband told me I looked like a doctor myself!! We laughed about that. Dr Tsang-Wright brings that feeling of humanness and normal every day things aswell as being super professional and all the qualities I’ve mentioned above. I feel thankful to be in her care. My husband feels trusting too which is equally important. We are having a short break away prior to surgery and She asked us to send a postcard. She’s simply lovely!

From start to finish Fiona Tsang-Wright was outstanding. I felt at ease as soon as I arrived and all my questions were answered calmly. Instructions for my procedures were clear and it was apparent that she had an excellent partnership with her colleagues , who were also outstanding. I would highly recommend Fiona Tsang-Wright as a consultant and specifically for breast concerns. Thank you for your excellent care today.

Profile

Fiona is a Consultant Breast and Reconstructive surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as well as in senior management as the Trust Cancer Clinical Lead. She is a committee member for the Association of Breast Surgery.

She has an expertise in managing breast diseases and breast cancer. All her clinics are set up with the best patient experience in mind: she will examine the patient and then arrange for imaging to be done at the same appointment (One-Stop Clinic) as she believes that this enables her to reassure her patients as quickly as possible, and reduce the anxiety of waiting for tests. Her feedback is positive and she is proud that she can make the experience of attending her clinic as pleasant and straight-forward as possible.

Fiona is involved in all aspects of a patient's treatment, and particularly in the management of breast cancer in younger women. She uses refined oncoplastic techniques to give women the increased possibility of conserving their natural breast or for those needing a mastectomy, she is an expert in immediate breast reconstructions using an implant to create a natural breast shape. She also liaises closely with consultant plastic surgeons for autologous reconstructions such as DIEP / LD.

Fiona has worked in different healthcare systems around the world and uses the experience gained in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai for the management of her patients in the UK. She has a demonstrable record in medical management at national, regional and local levels.

Fiona is dedicated to medical education and mentorship. She sits on the Oxford Regional Higher Surgery Training panel, is a final year examiner at the University of Oxford, an Associate Professor at the St George's University in Grenada, and teaches students from Oxford University and the University of Buckingham.

Fiona is a caring and empathetic breast surgeon who is keen to tailor and individualise the treatment of breast cancer to each of her patients.
